DCS employees Chelsea Pilon and Gina Magri send a Shout Out to healthcare professionals and to Hotline staff.
This week DCS team members made a presentation to a group of healthcare professionals about mandated reporting of abuse and neglect allegations. The auditorium was filled with approximately 100 school nurses and other health personnel for the Tucson Unified School District. Their feedback about our customer service was humbling and is truly a reflection of the hard work Hotline staff produce every day, every night, 365 days a year. We were told that our hotline specialists were professional, courteous, and their hold times were minimal, if any. We were given a resounding “thumbs up” by these professionals and it was obvious they are truly satisfied with our service to them as well as our commitment to child well-being.
It is not always easy to make that phone call about suspected child abuse and neglect and often times, we at the hotline are the reporting sources only interaction with the Department. Thank you for making their interactions positive and treating the community with respect while diligently ensuring children are safe.
