A foster parent, pleased with all of the great work of DCS, sends in two different Shout Outs, one regarding an office and the other regarding a caseworker.
"I love the Tempe DCS office so much when I go on the list for a foster placement I ask which office the case manager is out of for each child. If there is ever a Tempe office one, I try to choose that child because the investigative and ongoing case managers I have dealt with over the years in that office are so good at communicating with you in a timely manner it's a joy to work alongside them regardless of how bad the case scenario is. Oftentimes the reply on the email was the same day and never more than three days, which I think is pretty excellent considering all they have to manage. Sometimes communication is all you need to feel like you can keep going even if nothing concrete really changes."
"Jessica Yazzie from the Mesa DCS office was a joy to work with for our previous foster child. She had good communication skills, was attentive and moved the case to relative placement with speed and by giving as much notice as possible really helped all of us involved. Having had a different placement take 15 months to move to a relative placement, this was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for doing your job and helping all involved with your superior service."
Great job, everyone!
