Our 2024 Compassioneers

Compassioneers are members of the DCS team who exemplify our values day in and day out. You may call them kind, passionate, loving, strong, sensitive, motivated, or relentless in their pursuit of what is right, we simply call them our teammates. These compassionate, empathetic and hard-working individuals don't quit until the job is done.

"Everyone feels comfortable going to Alesha with any work-related questions or if there were something personal, she would find or point you to resources that will help."

"Even in the toughest situations, families always trust Angie to tell them the truth and help them work through the process with a trauma-informed lens."

"Hannah dedicates her time to ensuring the systems used by DCS staff meet their needs so that DCS can continue to meet the needs of the children and families of Arizona."

"Iliana demonstrates accountability at every turn, and expects the same from those around her - all with the best interests of the FAMILIES in mind."

"Italo is known for his lightheartedness, willingness to help regardless of circumstance, and ability to fill whatever role is needed."

"Jacs consistently demonstrates passion and empathy, not only with her peers in the office but with the families and children she meets in the community."

"Kasaundra is a passionate advocate for children in state care and is an Indian Child Welfare Act Expert who puts her whole heart into her work."

"Misha is a kind and caring supervisor. She acknowledges the way that every person is unique and knows how to adapt given that uniqueness."
