Caregiver Training
At Learning & Development, our Mission as Caregiver Trainers is to empower and support caregivers by providing resources and guidance to care for children in need. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we strive to strengthen families by promoting healing, growth, and lasting positive outcomes. Our commitment is to foster a supportive and informed community focused on nurturing and protecting those who have experienced trauma.
Foster Parent Pre-Service Training
What does training look like?
- This curriculum contains five (5) live webinars over a five-week period of time. Each live webinar is three (3) hours long and they must be attended in order.
- There is a time commitment as the training must be completed within 8 weeks from the date you start training.
- A camera and a microphone are necessary for participation and credit for the class.
- Live training webinars are scheduled every month on different days (Monday-Saturday) and times of the week (morning, afternoon, and evening).
- All live webinars and online videos must be completed in order even if you miss a live webinar and need to complete a make-up class. Open the link to the downloadable training schedule: CSO-4493
- The DCS Learning & Development Team wants to support our participants in completing their training. Please be sure that you give yourself enough time to arrive to the live webinar on time and stay for the duration of class. We cannot allow participants to drive, attend appointments or care for children during the live webinars, due to safety and subject matter.
