Housing Voucher Application Request
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded several different housing authorities in the state of Arizona with Housing Choice Vouchers through the following programs: Family Unification Program (FUP) and Foster Youth to Independence (FYI).
Young adults are eligible for these housing vouchers if:
- they are at least 18 years old and not more than 24 years old (has not reached his/her 25th birthday),
- have left foster care at age 16 or older, or
- will leave foster care within 90 days of application.
* Housing Vouchers used by youth are limited, by statute, to 36 months of housing assistance.
The Housing Authorities who received vouchers are: City of Phoenix, City of Mesa, City of Tempe, City of Scottsdale, City of Flagstaff, City of Glendale, City of Tucson, Mohave County, Maricopa County, and Yuma County.
