Chapin Hall Report

An independent review of the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) was conducted by the Chapin Hall Center for Children at the University of Chicago.

Legislation which created DCS required the Office of the Auditor General (Laws 2014, 2nd S.S., Ch. 1, §159) to engage an independent consult with expertise in child welfare system planning and operations to examine the current child safety system and consider best practices to improve the delivery of services. The report was completed and published along with the DCS response on the Arizona State Auditor General's website on June 30, 2015. The report and response are presented here.
