The director of the Arizona Department of Child Services joins us on set to talk about the need for Foster Families in our state
Posted by Rick D'Amico on Thursday, March 10, 2016
DCS Director Greg McKay recently joined Rick D'Amico and the FOX 10 Phoenix morning show to discuss Arizona's "Safe Haven" law which allows parents to bring a baby, up to three days old, to a hospital, emergency medical service provider, fire station, licensed private child welfare agency or a participating church in situations where birth parents do not wish to care for the newborn rather than having to abandon them. Director McKay expressed the need for more foster parents to give homes to vulnerable children who need a place to belong and be loved.
