By the time their first child was placed in their care, they already had a 3-year-old daughter and a newborn on their hands, but that didn’t slow them down. Skyler was the first child the Dahlmans experienced as foster parents when he came to them at just 2 days old.

Growing up, Kristine was no stranger to the foster care system. She had an extended family that fostered, and after moving away from Nebraska, she got to experience the joy of having new cousins each time she returned home. She would listen to their stories and learn from them about the importance of finding safety and permanency for children.
